  47. I'm using the Icom IC-970A (not the -H!) with significant success on AO-10,
  48. AO-13, FO-20, AO-21 and AO-27.  No problems, except that I'm a little
  49. underpowered sometimes.  Still in all, it just works fine!
  50.  
  51. The rest of the station is the Yaesu 5400B rotor and the Cushcraft antennas
  52. (used, rebuilt and actually working).  I intend to get newer and "better"
  53. antennas, but these are adequate for what I wanted initially:  Get in cheap
  54. and get started (OK, so the -970 wasn't "cheap." The IC251 and -451 were, and
  55. constituted the first OSCAR station...).  I'm using the Icom mast mounted
  56. preamps, although I may rework those over the next year to play with gain and
  57. noise figures somewhat.
